Regulation Rupture and Repair

Trauma-Informed Ethics for Massage Therapists | 4 Ethics CE Hours
Interactive · Online · For LMTs Nationwide

Interactive · Online · Self-Paced · For LMTs Nationwide

Ethical practice is relational — and relationships are not always smooth. This course explores what happens in the nervous system of the practitioner, what happens when the therapeutic relationship ruptures, and how ethical repair is possible when it does.

Grounded in trauma-informed principles and framed entirely within massage therapy scope of practice, Regulation, Rupture & Repair asks you to look honestly at your own nervous system patterns, your capacity to stay present under pressure, and what it means to be accountable — not punitive, not avoidant — when something goes wrong.

This is not a course about following rules. It is a course about becoming a more grounded, honest, and resilient practitioner.

NCBTMB approved and designed to meet supervised ethics and cultural competency CE requirements in Oregon and Washington. Accepted in 30+ states nationwide. It is self-paced, delivered through Teachable LMS, and open to enrollment at any time.

Discussion-based learning, guided reflection, practical worksheets, and real-world application.

    • The difference between a boundary crossing and a boundary violation

    • How to repair a rupture ethically, with accountability and without self-punishment

    • Distinguish between genuine accountability and self-punishment in professional practice

    • Identify personal habits, structures, or supports that strengthen your capacity for ongoing ethical reflection

“This course helped me see that ethics is not only about what happens in the session, but also about the policies, boundaries, and decisions that shape my practice behind the scenes. I left with clearer language, stronger policies, and a business that feels more aligned with my values.”
