Course Policies — Listening Field Training

These policies are designed to support a clear, professional learning experience for all students. Please read this page carefully before enrolling. It covers course access, assignment expectations, certificates, refunds, eligibility, intellectual property, and your rights and responsibilities as a participant.

Enrollment in any Listening Field Training course constitutes agreement with all policies listed here.

Course Delivery and Format

Listening Field Training courses are interactive, distance-learning programs for licensed massage therapists. Courses are currently offered in two formats: Teachable online courses and downloadable workbook courses.

Teachable courses are delivered through the Teachable learning platform. Students log in to complete required lessons, discussions, quizzes, supervised assignments, and other course activities within the access window stated on the course page.

Workbook courses are delivered as digital downloads or email-delivered PDF workbooks after purchase. Students complete the workbook independently, submit required typed assignments and quiz responses, and receive instructor review before a certificate is issued.

Workbook courses are not delivered through Teachable and do not require a platform login.

All supervised courses are not complete at purchase. Certificates are issued only after required coursework has been completed, submitted, reviewed, and accepted by Listening Field Training.

All courses are designed to support Oregon and Washington continuing education requirements for licensed massage therapists, including supervision, participation tracking, assessment, and documentation where applicable. Continuing education acceptance varies by jurisdiction, and students are responsible for confirming eligibility with their own licensing board before enrolling.

Student Identity

Students must enroll using their own full legal name. Accounts created with only an email address, business name, initials, partial name, or any identifier that does not clearly identify the enrolled student may be flagged for review, suspended, removed, or declined for re-enrollment until identity is verified.

Listening Field Training reserves the right to request the student’s full legal name, clinic information, license or credential information, and other identifying information reasonably necessary to confirm identity, eligibility, and certificate accuracy.

Course Access

Access instructions depend on which course you purchased.

Workbook Courses

Workbook courses are delivered as digital downloads or email attachments after purchase. Your workbook may be available for immediate download upon purchase and/or delivered to the email address used at checkout.

After completing checkout, you may be able to access and download the PDF directly from the confirmation page. A receipt email or course delivery email may also include a download link. Please download and save your workbook promptly to ensure continued access.

Students have 30 days from the date of purchase to complete the workbook, submit required assignments, complete the quiz, and receive instructor review.

No Teachable login or platform account is required for workbook courses. If you do not see your email, please check your spam, junk, or promotions folder. If you need assistance, contact info@listeningfieldtraining.com.

Teachable Courses

Teachable courses are delivered through the Teachable learning platform. Students are responsible for logging in, completing required lessons, discussions, quizzes, supervised assignments, and all other required course components within the access window stated on the course page.

After purchase, Teachable will automatically enroll you in your course and send two emails to the address used at checkout: an enrollment confirmation and a welcome email containing your one-time login code. The welcome email typically arrives within 5–10 minutes. If you do not see it, check your spam or junk folder before reaching out for support.

There are no PDF guides, enrollment codes, or additional setup steps required for Teachable courses unless specifically stated on the course page.

To access your Teachable course for the first time:

  1. Open the welcome email from Teachable.

  2. Click the login link or enter the one-time code provided.

  3. Your course will open immediately.

To return to your course on any device:

  1. Go to listening-field-training.teachable.com/sign_in.

  2. Enter the email address you used at checkout.

  3. Teachable will send a fresh one-time login code to that email.

  4. Enter the code to access your course.

No password is required. A new login code is sent to your email each time you log in. Your email address is your key to course access.

Important: The email address entered at login must exactly match the email address used at checkout. Listening Field Training is not responsible for login issues resulting from an incorrect or mistyped email entered at checkout. If you believe your enrollment email needs to be corrected, contact info@listeningfieldtraining.com before attempting to access the course.

Technical Readiness

Courses require independent navigation of the applicable learning format. Students are responsible for accessing course materials from a compatible device, current browser, and stable internet connection. Phones and some tablets may not fully support all course features.

Instructor support is limited to course content, assignment expectations, ethics-related questions, and certificate review. Listening Field Training does not provide technical support for Teachable, student devices, browsers, internet connections, email filtering, or third-party platform errors.

For Teachable login or platform issues, students should first check their spam or junk folder, then return to listening-field-training.teachable.com/sign_in and request a new login code. For additional platform support, visit the Teachable Help Center at support.teachable.com.

Listening Field Training is not responsible for third-party platform outages, Teachable system errors, email delivery failures, browser incompatibility, student-side device issues, internet problems, scheduled maintenance, or other interruptions beyond reasonable control.

During platform outages or system transitions, Listening Field Training will make a good-faith effort to restore course access and re-enroll actively enrolled students. However, uninterrupted access and automatic re-enrollment for every past student cannot be guaranteed.

Professional Readiness

These courses are designed as continuing education review for licensed massage therapists and other eligible licensed professionals, not as first-time instruction. Students are expected to arrive prepared to apply foundational concepts such as informed consent, scope of practice, boundaries, referral, and professional communication in course discussions and assignments.

External readings and supplemental resources support review and reflection, but they do not replace the student’s responsibility to demonstrate competent ethical reasoning in coursework.

Course Materials and External Links

Listening Field Training courses are intended to review, reinforce, and deepen already-established ethical knowledge and professional practice. Students are expected to engage course assignments using existing professional knowledge, prior education, and applicable scope-of-practice standards.

External links and third-party readings are provided as supplemental review materials only. Because outside websites and platforms may change without notice, Listening Field Training does not guarantee the continued availability, accuracy, or functionality of external resources.

Temporary unavailability, relocation, or failure of linked materials does not exempt students from completing assignments, nor does it constitute grounds for waiving course requirements. Students remain responsible for completing all coursework and, when necessary, locating equivalent professional resources independently.

Listening Field Training is not responsible for outages, technical failures, access interruptions, or content changes on third-party websites or platforms outside our control.

Access Period and Completion

Teachable Courses

Each Teachable course is designed to be completed within a short, focused timeframe.

Enrollment window: Students have 30 days from the date of purchase to begin the course. This applies to purchases made on or after May 11, 2026.

Completion window: Once a student accesses the first course module, a 5-day completion period begins.

Course requirements: All required coursework, including modules, quizzes, written assignments, discussions, and supervised participation where applicable, must be completed within the 5-day window.

Course activity, including the date a student accesses the first module and ongoing engagement, may be tracked within Teachable.

Listening Field Training does not send reminders regarding course progress or expiration. It is the student’s responsibility to monitor the timeline and complete all requirements within the stated window.

Extensions: One extension of up to 3 days may be granted if requested before the completion window expires.

Incomplete coursework: If the course is not completed within the allowed timeframe, re-enrollment is required.

Workbook Courses

Workbook-based courses are designed to be completed within 30 days from the date of purchase.

Students have 30 days from the date of purchase to complete all required components, including workbook study, typed assignments, written reflections, quiz responses, and any other required course materials.

All required materials must be submitted within this timeframe to receive instructor feedback and a certificate of completion.

Listening Field Training does not send reminders regarding course deadlines or expiration. It is the student’s responsibility to track progress and request support as needed.

Extensions: One extension may be granted if requested before the 30-day window expires.

After 30 days: Instructor feedback and certificate issuance are not guaranteed. Re-enrollment may be required if coursework is not completed within the allowed timeframe.

Important: Instructor feedback and certificates are not available on a rush or same-day basis. Students are responsible for submitting all course materials well before any license renewal deadlines to allow time for review, possible revisions, and certificate issuance.

Course Structure

Courses may include:

  • Written reflections

  • Case-based discussion prompts

  • Quizzes

  • Required participation and assessment

  • Instructor-reviewed assignments

  • Supervised discussion or reflection where applicable

Each course within a bundle is a separate program with its own requirements and certificate. Courses must be accessed and completed individually.

Assignment Completion

Assignments are designed to support thoughtful engagement with professional practice, including reflection, application, and integration of course concepts. To receive credit, all required components of each assignment must be clearly addressed.

If a submission is incomplete, the student may be asked to revise and resubmit based on instructor feedback. One revision is permitted per assignment. If the revised submission does not meet assignment criteria, it will be marked incomplete and will not be eligible for credit.

Discussion-Based Assignments

Courses that include discussion-based assignments require written responses that demonstrate engagement with the material. To receive credit, responses must include:

  • A clearly identified, relevant resource or reference, when required

  • A brief explanation or reflection demonstrating engagement with the topic

  • Application of course concepts to professional practice

Credit / Complete: All required components are clearly addressed. The response demonstrates reflection and application and meets the intent of the assignment.

No Credit / Incomplete: One or more required components are missing. The response remains general or opinion-based, does not demonstrate application of course concepts, or does not follow assignment instructions.

Listening Field Training discussion boards are reserved for course-related educational discussion and required assignment participation only. Students may not use discussion boards to submit complaints, request certificates, raise administrative concerns, dispute grading, or seek technical support. These matters must be directed through the appropriate email or formal policy channel.

Discussion boards are monitored Monday through Friday only. Posts that misuse the discussion board may be removed and may be considered a violation of course participation policy.

Student Responsibility

Students are expected to engage with the material in good faith and demonstrate:

  • Attention to assignment instructions

  • Willingness to engage beyond general opinion or prior knowledge

  • Respect for the learning process, the field, and fellow participants

Students are responsible for verifying state-specific CE requirements, completing coursework independently and honestly, and submitting certificates as required by their licensing board. Listening Field Training reserves the right to withhold certificates in cases of incomplete coursework or failure to meet participation requirements.

Enrollment Eligibility

Listening Field Training courses are intended for currently licensed massage therapists practicing within a regulated jurisdiction and seeking continuing education within their professional scope of practice.

For participants practicing in Oregon and Washington, a current active state massage license is required. Participants practicing in other U.S. jurisdictions are eligible only when their professional status can be clearly verified and the jurisdiction maintains a recognizable regulatory framework for massage practice.

Participants practicing under voluntary certification systems, local-only authorization, or in jurisdictions without clear statewide massage licensure are not eligible to enroll unless prior written approval has been granted by Listening Field Training before purchase. This includes jurisdictions such as California and Wyoming, where massage regulation does not operate in the same way as Oregon and Washington.

Professional credential information, including the participant’s full legal name, active license or credential number, clinic information when requested, and any other information reasonably required to confirm identity or eligibility, may be requested at any time for continued participation, re-enrollment, and certificate eligibility.

Listening Field Training does not routinely verify all credentials before course access. However, Listening Field Training reserves the right to request verification of identity, licensure, clinic information, or other professional credentials when an account is incomplete, inconsistent, flagged for review, or otherwise raises a reasonable question regarding the identity or eligibility of the participant.

If requested information is not provided within a reasonable period, or if submitted information is inaccurate, misleading, inactive, expired, incomplete, inconsistent, or otherwise unverifiable, Listening Field Training may suspend or revoke enrollment, deny continued access, refuse re-enrollment, allow limited educational access only, and/or withhold certificate issuance.

CE certificates are issued only after all required course components, participation requirements, and assessments have been completed and eligibility has been confirmed. If a participant enrolls but is later found ineligible, unverifiable, or otherwise outside course eligibility requirements, Listening Field Training may, at its sole discretion, revoke enrollment or allow limited educational access only. No certificate will be issued.

NCBTMB Approved Provider status does not guarantee acceptance of continuing education credit in every jurisdiction. Participants are solely responsible for confirming CE eligibility and acceptance with their own licensing board, regulatory agency, or professional authority before enrolling.

Course Completion and Certificates

Certificates of completion are issued only after all required coursework has been submitted, reviewed, and accepted. For supervised online CE courses, required discussion participation and instructor-reviewed written work are part of completion.

Students should not email only to report that they are finished. Certificates are issued after successful course review. If an assignment does not meet requirements, one revision opportunity may be offered in accordance with Listening Field Training policy.

The instructor reviews participation and responds to messages within 24–48 business hours, excluding weekends and holidays. If assignment expectations are unclear, students should reach out before submitting work.

Submitted work must reflect the student’s own engagement with the material and meet the outlined criteria for credit.

Certificates are typically delivered within 24–48 business hours of course completion after instructor review, excluding weekends and holidays. Processing may take longer around holidays or during high-volume periods.

Same-day certificate processing is not guaranteed. Students are responsible for submitting coursework well before license renewal deadlines.

Students are responsible for submitting certificates to their licensing board in accordance with state renewal requirements.

Same-Day Rush Certificate Processing

Same-Day Rush Certificate Processing is an optional administrative add-on for students who need same calendar-day certificate review after all course requirements are complete.

This service is available Monday–Sunday for a $75 fee. Requests submitted with all required coursework complete by 8:00 PM Pacific Time are reviewed for certificate issuance the same calendar day. Requests received after 8:00 PM Pacific Time may be processed the next calendar day.

Rush processing does not guarantee certificate issuance if coursework is incomplete, submissions require clarification, student information does not match enrollment records, or academic/instructor review standards are not met. Rush processing does not override course completion requirements, instructor review, ethics standards, documentation integrity, or certificate issuance policies.

Rush fees are non-refundable once processing has begun.

By purchasing Same-Day Rush Certificate Processing, students confirm that they have read, understand, and agree to Listening Field Training’s Course Policies. Rush processing is subject to all course completion, certificate, refund, and administrative review requirements.

Same-Day Rush Certificate Processing is an administrative add-on only. It is not a course and does not provide CE credit.

Standard certificate processing is completed according to the timelines listed in each course. Same-Day Rush Certificate Processing may be available as a paid administrative add-on after all course requirements are complete.

Refunds

Because course access is delivered digitally upon purchase, all sales are final once access has been issued.

If a participant enrolls but is later found ineligible for CE certification, Listening Field Training may, at its sole discretion, allow continued access for educational purposes only. No certificate will be issued.

No refunds will be issued after course access has been delivered or course content has been substantially accessed.

No refunds are offered under the following circumstances:

  • Failure to access or navigate the Teachable platform

  • Failure to access or download a delivered PDF workbook

  • Technical issues related to user devices, browsers, email accounts, or internet connectivity

  • Misunderstanding of course format or requirements

  • Incomplete coursework or time constraints

  • Failure to verify state acceptance prior to enrollment

  • Ineligibility for CE certification after enrollment

Downloaded course materials, workbook instructions, or older course documents do not override the purchase terms agreed to at checkout. If any older language appears in course materials, the current checkout policy and published Course Policies page control.

Students are responsible for reviewing the course description, requirements, completion timeline, and applicable policies before purchase.

By enrolling, students acknowledge that CE certificates are issued only to eligible participants who complete all course requirements and provide verifiable professional license information.
