Across Difference

Cultural Competency for Massage Therapists (1 Hour CE)

A supervised, self-paced continuing education course for licensed massage therapists focused on cultural awareness, ethical care across difference and professional responsibility in therapeutic relationships.

Cultural awareness. Ethical care. Clinical responsibility.

  • Across Difference is a 1 hour cultural competency continuing education course for licensed massage therapists.

Across Difference explores cultural competency as an ethical, relational practice rather than a checklist or static skill. The course invites massage therapists to examine how culture, identity, power, and lived experience shape therapeutic encounters — and how professional presence can be maintained across difference with clarity, humility, and care.

Through reflective prompts, real-world scenarios, and guided learning, participants are encouraged to deepen awareness of bias, assumption, and scope while strengthening ethical decision-making in diverse client relationships.
